Sumobots : It is exactly what it sounds like; two robots in an arena, with the major purpose to knock the other robot out of the arena. This is a competition more revolving around power and building skills than programming skills. It involves making sure your own robot has enough friction and protection to not be knocked out of the arena, while also making sure it has enough power to knock the other robot out. This helps students develop their programming and building skills. The students will be in groups along with a state champion robotics mentor.
Please arrive atleast 10 minutes prior to 10. We will meet in the gym at the main building. Parents may drop of their kids at main entrance near the flagpoles. At 10:00 we will start the robotics sumo bot workshop.
